Investigating some odd #Windows behavior. Colons are not, AFAIK, valid in file names. And yet, I can open a file called "foo:bar" and write to it from Python. Windows lists a 0-byte file "foo". But I can re-open "foo:bar" and read out my data.

Where can I read more about this?

A better solution: Tag this bug as acknowledged and awaiting a PR. Then people who have interest/time to contribute to the project can easily find issues for which they can contribute!

Don't pretend the issue doesn't exist!

Having a bot that comes and constantly closes bugs that people have taken time to report to your project seems to me... counterproductive. Unless you think maintaining an low issue count is important? But you're just hiding the issue(s) and frustrating your users.
