I'd probably piggyback on Jib. After a jib build, could copy the artifacts out of there into a temporary image, build native exe., then copy that into final image.

I realize Quarkus exists, but it's a whole framework, not something you can just apply to an existing project.

Ideally I'd like to just use a Docker image to do the build, since Docker is the target anyway. Not having to install GraalVM and compilers onto my machine is a big 👍

But BECAUSE folks rely on HTTP error codes to surface errors, IMO you've got to do both. Return a !200 code, + a (JSON?) body w/ error details.
