@travisthetechie Oh sure. And I do often make safer/nicer extension methods on types. The problem is it’s not scalable to say “Don’t use JDBC, use this other thing that is a wrapper around JDBC” when JDBC is present everywhere & all I want here is correct nullability.

Alternatively, would be nice to have option to tell the #Kotlin compiler to just treat platform types as nullable.

Forcing explicit null handling/assertions would make those cases a lot more evident when writing/reviewing code.

Many of ResultSet's methods are documented to return null, but because they're not *annotated* as such, Kotlin doesn't handle them as nullable types. 😞
