There's a surprisingly hard problem to solve in safe Rust without array::(try_)from_fn:

Initializing a const generic array for a type which doesn't impl Default (especially when it's a non-Copy type).

The only real option otherwise is to use unsafe mem::zeroed/MaybeUninit
