This is a great question. I think there are several possible theories to pursue. The answer I like is a lot of them do have burnout. They just don't normalize talking about it. Also, they don't accept accountability, so it doesn't matter if they suck at their job.

Conceptually, the ConstitutionDAO was a great story. It had all the elements of community and shared ownership and decentralization. The problem is that nothing about cryptocurrency ensures governance and trust. And it turns out those are the main reasons you need institutions.
