Inflation’s slowing down. Unemployment’s at a 50-year low. Millions of people have been able to go back to work. Republicans in Congress want to throw away our progress & slash taxes for the rich & powerful—but I’ll keep fighting to build an economy that works for working people.

My takeaway? Without training on specific strategies and tactics, people might have good intentions but struggle to foster inclusive cultures.

@joelle_emerson ("Joelle Emerson") replied to a tweet by @joelle_emerson:

But action-oriented training *can* make a positive impact. For example, we found that before training, 87% of people said they were motivated to foster an inclusive culture, but only 40% of that group said they knew how. After training, 83% of people felt equipped to take action.

We partnered with a number of companies to design and deliver training. DEI training gets a bad rap - lots of debate over whether it “works.” To be clear, a lot of training doesn’t work, and even great training isn’t a panacea - it has to be part of a broader strategy.
