It’s been just over a year since the Dobbs decision was leaked, and there were three words on my mind that night.
How. Dare. They.
How dare they attack our health care system, our fundamental rights, and the freedom of the women of America to make decisions about their bodies.

Considering all the harm the Catholic Church has done to queer people over the last two thousand years… a few of us making fun of your outfits (while performing good works) is pretty harmless way for a persecuted community to channel its anger.

This is absolutely true and I'll never understand it because no one really likes us. People are chasing a kind of cultural capital certain upper-class, mostly white male, writers had in the 20th century. It doesn't exist anymore.

All writing is about the journey of creation just as much as it is about the final product. You can’t separate one from the other. Storytelling is a window into human experiences that are so fundamental we become blind to them. The only way to open the window is to fumble.

Usually you’re still stuck in the stage where you think everyone is looking at you. Seeing someone who doesn’t seem to know everyone is looking at them makes you anxious. So you get angry at them for contrasting your anxiety with their lack of anxiety.

I’m going to be a mom this year and I can’t imagine taking my baby out in public for hours at a time.
It’s a nuisance to the public, especially if the baby is crying.
If I need to breastfeed so badly, I would go home or to a more private… https://twitter.com/i/web/status/1658213742620844057
