First... the robot girl's designation is "AF-709," and it's been suggested (but never confirmed) that this was the inspiration for Seven of Nine on Star Trek: Voyager. (It's also possible that both are named for the IBM 709, an advanced-for-the-time computer built in the 1950s.)
