Most of this a failure to understand context before having a reaction. That is to be expected on the internet.
But there's something more here. It also seems to be the case that a lot of people think the statement below *is what Affirmative Action means*.

@MythinformedMKE His premise is completely wrong. In his own example, actually the black student would have the advantage and get the better job or get into the better grad school because thre is likely to be more demand for that black student with those qualifications in the work force.
