People chose to misunderstand the context (willfully or not). What they responded to was a question I didn't ask. Namely they thought I was saying "Affirmative Action is not a real thing. Convince me otherwise."

@MythinformedMKE His premise is completely wrong. In his own example, actually the black student would have the advantage and get the better job or get into the better grad school because thre is likely to be more demand for that black student with those qualifications in the work force.
