Here’s a question that some people may ask themselves. Doesn’t every group want to believe that they’re disadvantaged? Why do we act like Black people’s perceptions are correct while white people’s have to be false? I think it’s a reasonable question.

Everybody chooses what they believe and don't believe. But so many white people choose to believe whatever sounds like white people being disadvantaged.
