Obviously Python provides features that allow more generalized, robust, full featured development and applications. But performing as a shell replacement for dirty jobs seems like Python's true sweet spot. 😆

In the past few days I've written two scripts in Python for personal use. Both scripts solved a problem that I've been stuck on for a bit. Both happen to use Beautiful Soup library. The scripts are not pretty. They're just brute force, do this one job. No beautiful abstractions. Minimal functions. No intention for reuse or distribution. It's not my usual day job style, but with limited personal time and the need to just get something done, it works.
