I'm lucky to be able to give myself an allowance for personal use. You know, a small budget for "splurge" type things. I use it for books, music, hobbies, and donations. Things that are just for me.
I recently realized that as a paperboy in 1987, working less than two hours a day, six days a week (taking inflation into account) I had over twice the "allowance" that I do today as an adult working a full time job.
Paperboy me would be very disappointed to hear this. smh
