I, uh. wow. this rules.
Huge shoutout to #fastned that is the first charging network in Europe (that I’ve seen) that supports “plug and charge” feature which does what it says, without any stupid steps like scanning QR codes and pressing “start” in some janky app.

I’ve prepared too much for this trip: got OBD2 dongle for real-time monitoring of the battery, fine-tuned trip plans in ABRP app, ordered a bunch of membership cards. All unnecessary. Just picking the next fast charger along the way worked fine.
Some smaller networks were a minor annoyance, mostly due to requiring their own junk apps. But the good news is that there’s enough fast chargers in the UK, FR, NL, BE & DE that there’s no range anxiety and time needed for charging isn’t more than I’d use for breaks anyway.
