Argr can mean bad (but like really bad I guess?) or unmanly, cowardly, or even effeminate.
It exists as argur in Icelandic, where it means bad, wicked, cowardly, weak.
The closest Swedish relative to anger I think must be ånger, meaning regret.
owl@beach.city ("ugla hf.") wrote:
The Swedish word for angry, arg, comes from the Old Norse word argr, which was supposedly one of the most grave insults, which could have serious consequences if used without justification. Argh and eerie in English are doublets and both come from argr. Angry does not come from argr.

Cool, I have a client pulling posts from Mastodon.
TIL: Mastodon content is stored as HTML. That'll work well because I already know how to transform HTML into Markdown (FeoBlog's internal format.)
One downside, I forgot that Mastodon has private posts. I guess I *won't* sync those to protect people's privacy but it does make the tool less useful.
Does mastodon's markup support `code` blocks?

What about inline blocks?

It's interesting how RAM speed (lack of thereof) has ruined advanced data structures. Big flat array usually wins over fancy trees with clever logic. Brute-force SIMD can be faster than avoiding redundant work.
I've never been able to use bloom filters either — cache misses are too costly.

Pretty nifty idea. Honestly we need this at the X/Wayland level too, as an ever increasing amount of FOSS programmers see telemetry as too valuable to not to use.
I rather, we just didn't? But a single universal method of opting out of it platform wide, might be a decent compromise point.
Maybe some sort of freedesktop.org standard for graphical apps?

She must know that it's the same room that she can reach by more human-conventional means, but now she was putting her paw through, trying to open it from the balcony side.

Hmm, when I was developing FeoBlog, a couple people asked "Does it support ActivityPub?"
It doesn't, because of a different data model & feature set, but I just realized that Mastodon's API is probably a lot more permissive than the cursed birdsite, so it might be easy to write something to translate between the two services.
I've recently been enjoying writing #TypeScript in #Deno, so hmm, this could be a fun project. :)
