Also since Mastodon gGmbH is a real legal entity now and I am its CEO I am actually the CEO of Mastodon now. Sorry for ruining the jokes.

Thanks to the generous help of the previous owner of the mastodon username on GitHub, our GitHub organization has finally been renamed to mastodon! 🎉

I know that changing the repository URL is a bother but I think it’s worth it and better done sooner than later. Tootsuite was not serious and had no connection to our actual name.

ahhh yes, it is once again Sunday morning in Sundogistan and that means #jazz

I woke up this week with one name in my mind, and that's usually a pretty good sign that they're saying something I need to hear said. Accordingly, today we'll be spending the day with Hiromi Uehara and her piano.

So, if some piano jazz with style and pizzazz might be enough to make your day more relaxed, feel free to follow along over on @nowplaying or streaming on https://radio.reclaim.technology/stream

Interesting - listening to this guy from Seattle who cut his own CEO salary to ensure his staff was well paid: https://www.rnz.co.nz/national/programmes/saturday/audio/2018803421/dan-price-the-ceo-who-slashed-his-salary-by-1-million Kim Hill asks him if he could've achieved the same if his company was public/listed. He suggests he couldn't. The system's broken & public trust of public corporations is misplaced.

Wow. A mighty thunderstorm began, then we lost power for about 15 minutes, then just after it came back we heard a whooshing sound that quickly grew louder. It was a heavy rain that came upon us.

Just discovered and fixed a (potentially serious) bug in Dolphin, KDE's file manager and generic file model:

Sorting by size would cause an unstable sort order under certain circumstances.

This sounds innocent at first, until you realize this also causes it to expand a folder's content into the wrong view parent: you expand folder A, but all its files show up below folder B.

You may think you're deleting an empty folder, but it's not actually empty 😟

Fix here: https://invent.kde.org/system/dolphin/-/merge_requests/232

It's either Painting River, Brandywine River, Table River, or something else. 😫
