RT @natecull Have you considered the Use Case where the User is angry with you, doesn't like you, doesn't like your Product (tm), thinks your entire socio-economic class are measurably making everything worse and accelerating a global slide into fascism, genocide and extinction, and is only sullenly interacting with your Product (tm) at the cracking point of the harsh whip of capitalism because they will lose the ability to eat if they do not

because you might find that's quite a large class of users

Finished so many things in Zelda BotW tonight. :)
Found the last memory, finished all shrine-quests that had been discovered (got the thunder-helm,) and a bunch of side-quests.
Still haven't found the last giant skeleton that's supposed to be in Hebra. 🤔

Ok, Fediverse, this is up to you now!

Watch the bottom center, only two squares are left here. One of them is a mine, the other isn't.

You decide, poll in the thread!

RT @jk the way you make money in the western upper middle class, is you come up with an idea for something that ostensibly sounds good, and a bunch of people make an App based on that idea, and then the App gets bought by a bigger App, and as part of the acquisition, all the hard drives containing the work done on the App are thrown into a volcano

Anybody else remember Beastie Boys' song "'Bots"?

'Bots – to do the dishes
'Bots – to clean up my room
'Bots – to do the laundry
'Bots – and in the bathroom
'Bots – that's all I really want is 'Bots
With new wave hairdos – I want 'bots
I ought to whip out my – 'bots, 'bots, 'bots, 'bots, 'bots!

(I believe the song was inspired by one of the band members watching "The Jetsons" cartoons.)

But I never stopped wearing masks as I go out around others. My wife and I are vaccinated, but the 3yo isn't. We knew the delta variant was out there, and so even as we've been told we don't need masks, we stayed with it.

A lesson I learned from when I used to make long bicycle trips: When climbing a hard hill, don't stop pedaling until you are sure you are on the downhill side. I've seen no convincing evidence we're on the downhill yet.

99% of it is nonsense I don't care about anyway, but every now and then there's a mail I respond to, and then it always feels *really* awkward to start the response with an apology for not getting back sooner 😄
