if you want open source to mean more than caveat emptor, you need to make it a labor issue in addition to a rights issue. not only must the car have a public spec, but there ought to be readily available expertise to fix your car when it breaks. an open spec is useless if every mechanic is an overworked volunteer.

I read this like 10 times already and it still makes no sense: "nuptials" means "wedding" and "wedding" means "marriage" but "nuptials" doesn't mean "marriage".

I do realize that natural languages aren't supposed to be logical and non-contradicting, but this takes it to the next level.
