RT @ekaitz_zarraga I need a graphics capable LCD screen (the classic type, no colors or anything) that has a high enough resolution to show 80 caracters in one line.
Impossible to find. How hard/expensive is to order this as a custom module?

I wrote and article about the implementation of Haku in Raku. You don't need to know Japanese or Haku to read it.
It's Plogue so I would guess this is the last word in DX emulation https://www.plogue.com/products/chipsynth-ops7.html

It's frustrating how cryptocurrency has poisoned all conversation about decentralization.
I bet @eigenellies post from a Yamaha CX5M.
Thanks to whoevers decided it should be solved for everyone and not just them, and had the clout to pull it off.
Did another laptop firmware update with fwupdmgr (so pressing a button.)
Would not have guessed that this would become so easy and good on non-commercial Linux.

88-key bungus ordered.
also https://benchmarkdotnet.org/articles/guides/troubleshooting.html is just wrong, I don't have a .csproj
Man bencharmk #dotnet is slick when it works but basically anything outside the happy path seems incredibly broken or require way too much effort to diagnose and fix than I have time with just now.
All I wanted to do was run my benchark in wasm / mono

Regarding the site linked to in the LB*:

It might be a little tricky to navigate as it, somewhat unfortunately, bucks conventional navigation. On desktop you can use scroll up and down as usual. But to navigate pages, you can hit left or right arrow keys (or look for your mouse pointer to turn into a giant arrow pointing to the side). I don't know what it is doing on mobile.
Microbenchmarks are praxis.

This came out the other day: https://components.one/posts/the-new-pornographers-tech-reviews
"This report argues that consumer technology reviewers have failed their basic nominal purpose of critiquing tools. Instead, inspired by values introduced by Apple in the late 1990s, the tech review industry prioritizes aesthetic lust as the primary critical factor for evaluating objects. The reification of these values in their scoring system is transmitted to consumers and manufacturers alike. Like other prurient things, the objects designed within this paradigm are optimized not for usefulness but for photogenic and telegenic properties, a framework that finds its fullest realization in YouTube reviews and unboxing videos. There, even the intimation of critical rigor within tech reviewing vanishes, the smartphone becomes the center of gravity, and manufacturers are even further incentivized to design products for end consumers who are less users than viewers."

#iPhone 11 Pro is better than 13 Pro.
11 is 10% lighter, but thanks to rounded edges feels more like half the weight (easier to pick up, gentle in hand).
Stainless steel edges of 13 make hand grease very visible. Yuck. I've got the new phone for a few minutes, and it already looks dirty.
