All commercial package managers seem to have problems with malware.
Both the kind that they allow, which is already a lot, and the kind that they don't allow, which slips through anyway.
They're adding more and more stuff to try to catch the latter kind.
Mandatory developer fees, notarization, lots of hurdles.
I think the worst I ever heard of in a non-commercial package manager, where no kind of malware is allowed, was a program that used Google Analytics and wasn't spotted.

Why do I have a "libass" :blobcatgiggle:
Oh, "libass is a portable subtitle renderer for the ASS/SSA (Advanced Substation Alpha/Substation Alpha) subtitle format."
It's so I can watch warez.

I mean, the web is a bit of a hot mess, but it is pretty cool what can be achieved with a little HTML, CSS, and a dangerously overcomplexified browser runtime.

Bought these Fremont Market brand salmon fillets. They were badly abused mush, fit only for chowder.
So I made chowder.
It was pretty good.

Wohoo! Managed to draw the trippy "draw this in your style" from saint0sebastian over on Instagram.
Thank you for joining me over on Picarto.tv for the stream and my first test of using my VRoid model. Now I know that I have to do more calibrating, especially with the "angry" face. Kinda turned into "resting bitch face" stream. 😅

- Digital portrait of an androgynous person with long dark hair, wearing an acid green turtleneck. Their eyelids and lashes are red, their eyes are orange, eyebrows shaved off. Between their big purple painted lips a pink bubblegum bubble is blown. The background is a dark purple magenta with acid green wavey lines, framed in black. The turtleneck sweater is dripping away, over the shoulders and "sick" is written in a drippy font on the sweater. (remote)

I want to make a #love2d game but it crashes a LOT on my new laptop, plus I don't like the idea of making a game that doesn't ship with its own editor. I could dust off polywell, my own text editor I wrote, or I could try using lite which is already super polished but doesn't work the way *I* like; its repl functionality is Real Bad, and I'd have to port all my Emacs key bindings over to it...

I want to make a #tic80 game, but if I do that then the game will need to have an original soundtrack since I can't import something from opengameart.org, and I don't have any skill at all when it comes to composing music.
