Do you want to work on exa? It’s a modern replacement for ls. It’s used by a lot of people, there are a lot of stuff to work on.
I can (and want!) to mentor you, it’s written in Rust so the dev environment is nice, and the code is relatively well organized.
It’s really hard to get anything done when you have to do everything in a project, so I would really really like someone to do able to help me with this :)

Co-ops need to be easier to build and fund. We need to get more info out there about how they work. They're really not as inaccessible as you might think.

There's so much corporate shit on this OS.
Like the new tab page in the browser they force you to have.
You can't have a blank page, you can only customise some page full of corpshit.
There's a big search box on it that uses the corp's search engine, regardless of which search engine you've chosen.
There's a separate setting to avoid that, with deliberatel vague wording: choose between "search box (recommended)" and "address bar" for search. The latter will use your chosen engine.

Is there a fourcc codec supported by #opencv without inter-frame compression better than mjpg?
Preferably one that opencv-sharp supports out of the box #dotnet

I don't know. Maybe it's time to make this public.
If you are trying to learn audio programming and DSP from scratch (like, *really* from scratch), these notes might be the place to start:
They were lecture notes for a student-led 1-credit audio programming course that I taught in the spring this year, but it's now a course for everyone. Some sections are still in revision, but the main contents are mostly complete.
It's probably more low level and UNIX-centric than most of the audio programming tutorials you can find, so don't expect to learn how to make an audio plugin using JUCE or how to make fancy GUIs etc. But maybe this can be a good thing.
caveats:
- you need to know basic C and UNIX shell utilities
- it contains math, but at most calculus level
