Of course, on Apple's devices, people haven't really had the option to reduce their attack surface, so Apple has to do it for them.
It's also a tacit admission that a lot of the outward facing software running on a device is just insecure. Even Apple's. But sure, it's "ingenious" and "one of the coolest security ideas ever".. 🙄
