Earlier this month I wrote a little script to find interesting possible domain names in bodies of text like novels. @edsu packaged it up neatly and I am now getting pinged by people who are using domains they found this way! It's great https://github.com/thisisparker/public_domains/

if you have experience with clojure (or some other functional programming language but you are interested in #clojure #jobs) maybe take a look? it's a company that's been remote from the very start (long before the pandemic) and has got remote work figured out

they mixed up the posting a bit and it mentions golang, but our team doesn't use golang at all; we do have a bit of typescript but it is mostly writing clojure
(unfortunately for tax and timezone reasons it's only open to folks in the US or Canada)

my knowledge of licenses is way out-of-date so I've been reading them anew 💤 and I think I agree with @danbri that "a solid APACHE2-licensed activitypub library would be a useful thing for spreading activitypub and encouraging interesting integrations".
I'm not sure my little learning-project will be useful in the end, and think that may be the appropriate license just in case it is useful after all.
for the terminally curious, here is my start on ActivityStreams code: https://www.well.com/~jeffs/jfc/coretypes.d.html
