I am in a small French town. At its Christmas market, I found an elderly man who makes and sells his own animal marionnettes. I bought hedgehog, fox, mouse, bunny, and squirrel marionnettes.

I am so excited to learn how to wield them in the same lifelike fashion that he can.

Turns out you can follow hashtags on Mastodon just like on Twitter and it’ll show up on your home feed.

This gets rid of my main reason for using Tootle and allows me to switch to Metatext as my iOS client, which is much nicer (eg threads show posts in asc order)

The amount of complaining about the absence of quote-tweeting in Mastodon is astounding. But it should be, like, really easy to maintain a fork with just this feature added. It's not like you need to rewrite everything else… But no, let's just hate on "BDFLs" because it's easier.
