For passwords I’m using Firefox with its built-in sync, which is end-to-end encrypted and of course has first-class UI. It has integration with iOS too, and Firefox with uBlock is the best option for Android.
#Mozilla totally fails to capitalize on how good and useful it is. Instead, they’ve done a clumsy rebranding (formerly Lockwise) that made it look abandoned!

- Photo of young girl on a swing, wearing a pink dress and leggings, with turquoise socks, and her leaning back with eyes closed. Text on image is a poem: She fell the very first time she tried. She fell lots more and sometimes she cried. She fell while trying to do something new. She fell trying to do what she was told not to. She fell, but there was always a following win. Because after she fell, she got up again. — K. King 2022 (remote)

It looks like we're getting some relief from the cold in my neck of the woods. We're currently on the edge of the mass of cold air, and it's just below freezing outside. But for the majority of the continent... O_O

I am in a small French town. At its Christmas market, I found an elderly man who makes and sells his own animal marionnettes. I bought hedgehog, fox, mouse, bunny, and squirrel marionnettes.
I am so excited to learn how to wield them in the same lifelike fashion that he can.

- Whether there is a superior race is a scientific question and can only be answered by highly qualified geneticists after a thorough scientific investigation. For lay people to have a no answer to such a question prior to investigation is bizarre, non-scientific, and pure politics (remote)
- Evolution has a progressive direction from simple to complex or from more random noise within the system to less noise, which is what science has found out, at least my science. This would put human at the top. The same logic would equally apply to different people. (remote)
Highly recommend following #dogs
Turns out you can follow hashtags on Mastodon just like on Twitter and it’ll show up on your home feed.
This gets rid of my main reason for using Tootle and allows me to switch to Metatext as my iOS client, which is much nicer (eg threads show posts in asc order)
Elegantly wasted. Eloquently boring.
