That was a mistake. Decided to walk to the grocery store, less than a km away. Barely made it: ears feel almost frostbitten, can't feel my feet, and yes, I was bundled up in good solid Minnesota style.

looking at https://www.w3.org/TR/activitystreams-vocabulary/ I see no spec-related barrier to this, nor any need to change how a mastodon server instance acts, nor any need to mess with the current mastodon API. AFAIK this could all be done on the client-side
