Perhaps some kind of co-op structure where contributors have some weighted say on (e.g.) direction? 🤷‍♂️

I've sometimes wondered if there really is an (real) alternative to capitalism when it comes to promoting progress (giving people what they want) while rewarding those who put in the work and risk, on a large scale ...

Perhaps Fedi (e.g. Mastodon) vs company-owned for-profit social networks (e.g. FB,TW) will provide (some of) that answer.

Or, the former might become the latter (“You either die a hero or you live long enough to see yourself become the villain”) 😆

I really enjoyed the video "Katak Katak" by Namewee; it's hilarious, extremely catchy, and trilingual https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DTvo3TWBR2o and it pokes fun at the "frog" politicians here who leap from one political party to another whenever they think they can benefit the most

but it's really weird to see the pepe the frog imagery pop up here? I'm guessing they are either unaware or unconcerned with the far-right connections that particular frog has in other parts of the world, and they were just thinking "hey, look, a frog"

“How to make good on that claim? The first step would be for Ukraine to issue credentials to one of its diplomats to fill the USSR seat. No doubt Russia’s representative would insist that he, not a Ukrainian, keep the seat. Other Council Members, however, would be free to object to the Russian’s presence. An objection would give rise to a matter requiring settlement.

Here, the Security Council’s seldom-noted credentials rules…” https://mstdn.social/@hollybrigstocke/109594111324507303
