It's not legislation (yet), but it's telling that Apple's *ridonkulous* lobbying budget wasn't enough to forestall these conclusions:

As it is now possible to verify your GitHub account for Mastodon, the first thing I realized is I haven't actually used GitHub in some years. The last time I programmed anything publishable, I shared it on the Pijul Nest (because I got interested in Pijul at that point).
Funnily enough, I don't think of it as a problem. Since I stopped maintaining my last big open-source project, my professional life hardly got any less active. I got more time for other hobbies though.

I've been struggling with runner's knee for the past few weeks. Can anyone share their experiences in dealing with that? Taking a few days off helps a bit, but I don't want to lose too much progress. Stretching doesn't seem to help at all. Gets worse after runs.
Aha... Neue Deutsche Todeskunst seems to be a legit genre that has existed since the late 80's. Never heard of it before..

- Open sketchbook showing a pen and marker doodle in black and red. A half body drawing of a nude woman, covering her chest with her right arm, gripping her left shoulder. Her hair is long and messy, her fangs are showing and her nails are claw like. She is looking angrily passed the viewer, as if she was just attacked, ready to fight back. The drawing is done in rough black and red pen, shaded in red. Behind her a solid black coffin shape for contrast. (remote)

Musing on the role that intermittent rewards might be playing on people's acceptance of the use of ML bullshit generators, both when it works and when it fails spectacularly. (Similar to how intermittent rewards plays a role in social media, even here.)
