The React Omerta still hangs over it (Reactors aren't allowed to say "this isn't working" until an FBer does), but Shopify buying Remix is, in my read of the tech, a cutting critique of RSC.
They tried it with Hydrogen, it...um....exploded?...in client-side complexity, and for the good of the product, needed an alternative that wasn't in the San Mateo dogma.

For the avoidance of doubt: the design of React Server Face...er..."React Server Components" was *always* going to be a slow disaster, by inspection.
Why?
Because *any* component in a page could pull in a HUGE dependency graph if it was marked to run on the client.
Requiring perfection in component structure is not a solution to...

...imperfectly structured client component deps.

Not the worst part of frontend's Lost Decade, but the way the industry beclowned itself with trivially falsified claims of "better experiences" has meant that a cottage industry sprung up to gaslight folks who brought evidence to the party.
They succeeded in putting up gates around frontend such that folks can't get in unless they're *also* willing to beclown themselves. You shouldn't have to wear a red nose to put a button on a screen.
