He eventually learns to control his fire in the first story, but until then it plays out like what if Frankenstein was foreverially on fire, because he's naive and enormously destructive but not generally malicious.

This is also pre-comics code so he murders-murders some gangsters that try to use him for their own ends

So remember: the relationships that we have with one another are the only thing that endure. Do not destroy those precious relationships for the sake of pleasing an employer!

When it all started going down at Twitter, there were a few employees who were very public about their Musk loyalism. I cringed, because I saw similar Ellison loyalism among some at Sun after Oracle. Those Ellison loyalists didn't last much longer than the rest of us (often just months) -- but they permanently destroyed relationships in the process.

I say this because some prominent Musk loyalists are now out at Twitter -- and likely only destroyed relationships to show for it...

Instead, the first scene goes like:

"Gentlemen, I've called you here today to announce that my project to create an artificial human has been a resounding success. There's only one catch: he's always completely on fire and I'm not really clear on why that is."

I found the first human torch comic from 1939, where he's an android, and it's so funny. The creators could have very easily said that he was constructed as a weapon of war, or maybe at a stretch for industrial purposes, but that's not what they did.

“Ideological warfare resumed in the United States with the rise of the New Left in the late 1960s and with the rise of the New Right in the early 1980s. Today, those ideological storms have subsided. This time, though, ideology is over not because right and left have reached rough consensus; far from it. The contest is done because the Republican Party walked off the field. We have arrived at the end of GOP ideology.”
