It's 2023. Calculating the single-digraph width of a Unicode charachter on the client side is (checks math) the cost of a single layout. Why is it possible to have a view that cannot wrap this for me when the math is `shouldoverflow = ((char_width * chars) / viewport_width) > 1`

after reading about mozilla's new "we have to build an AI thing because AI is hot right now" strategy it's prompted me to try out alternative browsers since it's clear the days of firefox are numbered
I hate the idea of admitting defeat, but I learned that webkit is actually fairly far out from under the thumb of google, and it's not as much of a concession to monopoly as I once thought
anyway I'm giving luakit a shot because I like the idea of writing my dotfiles in a language I don't hate, but it seems that in pinafore it's ... impossible to scroll? at all? arrow keys do nothing; j and k do nothing
anyone had success using pinafore in one of these weird keyboard-driven webkit browsers?
