TB: ...

AGI: Okay, I just used my "artificial" brain to determine *you* can already solve the problems you have if you wanted to. And I can't help you with some of your more... pernicious problems.

WebGPU, the new graphics API for JavaScript, shipped in a stable web browser (Chrome 113) about… an hour ago!

I have written a blog post about it, covering a brief (okay, not brief) history of graphics APIs to ~situate WebGPU in a context~, a brief general guide to writing WebGPU, and some specific resources for making WebGPU projects in TypeScript, Rust, and C++ (you can use it on desktop! it doesn't have to be in a browser).

I think WebGPU is really good.

I think I have a pretty good grasp on how an #FPGA logic block is built up from LUTs, flip flops, SRAM cells and muxes, to the point where I was able to build a basic logic block for tiny tapeout. However, I'm missing the same understanding for the *routing*.

Are there any good resources on how it is typically done. What are the basic building elements? How does one build a routing grid that can route enough signals to be useful to where they need to be?

The last couple of days have been a little spicy here for me bc I wrote a blog post that provoked a bunch of strong responses, and I wanted to make some brief notes about how it went.

On the whole, lots of people were super friendly, which is always nice. Lots of people disagreed with me in ways ranging from very civil and conversational to "this is fascist," which is all extremely normal. I didn't have to report a single person for crossing into abusive behavior, which is chill and great.
