one thing that I appreciate about youtube is that so far they seem to have remembered/respected my request every time I hit "don't recommend this channel."

That should be a given but my expectations for content recommendation systems are through the floor

@pzmyers Since some time, she is producing videos about everything, whether it's relevant or not, and whether she knows stuff or not. The craziest was https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tnVWUIhQ8dE where she explains (correctly) why the Gulf stream won't stop. But the trivial reason is that "Gulf stream" is the proper name for only the southern part of the warm water stream on the northern atlantic, and only the part further up north may collapse (due to freshwater from melting Greenland glaciers). I.e. she spends 14 minutes telling that different people name stuff differently (and maybe incorrectly), and we are still bound to get MN weather in Europe.

It’s a bit short but completely changed the way I look at customer conversations.

One key takeaway is that you should figure out how your customers currently takle the problem you try to solve instead of directly pitching your idea. Maybe your customers don’t even search for the solution - how will they find you then?!

Fun fact:

Today is local council elections, in the UK.

I nearly forgot, but was reminded that they're on today, so I went and voted. (I voted for my local Conservative Party candidate)

Putting this post out there, for my British readers. The polls are still open, as I write this.

Please go out and vote! It is your constitutional right, and you should always do so, if you can. Even if you think your preferred party will lose, you should still vote, out of principle.

Please go out and vote :)
