Journalists who would never, ever consider working for Fox "News" continue to give their work -- free -- to Twitter.
They surely know that they're supporting a business controlled -- and manipulated in ugly ways -- by someone at least as malign as Rupert Murdoch. They're giving aid and comfort to someone who hates journalism and amplifies anti-democracy memes.
They could, instead, use the fediverse and control their own destinies.
How can they be helped to grasp this?

I think I discovered today what the magic is for me using #darktable.
Back in the day I would go to the darkroom and make b&w prints on a Beseler 23C enlarger. That only got more interesting when I was introduced to colour!
For me, #darktable is like returning to that photographic lab. Exploring different combinations of modules, experimenting, and trying out different workflows. It can be linear, but doesn't have to be. Thanks to the #darktable team.

I was playing a VN that mentioned the rainy season and it took me a second but I remembered the word for that is "tsuyu." With kanji, it's not written as like, rain + season as you might expect, but rather the characters for "plum" and "rain": 梅雨.
Wikipedia has the etymology: "refers to the historical belief that, when the plums turn yellow and fall at the south of the Yangtze in the fourth and fifth months, the moisture that evaporates from the plant turns into rain." https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/East_Asian_rainy_season

if you have to hide air assets in the rear then they are not really assets.

What the public doesn't understand is the breadth and depth of the corruption -- in part because not a single journalism organization has even attempted to show sleaze like this in context. Instead, we get one-offs like this (excellent) story.
We get lots of coverage of individual brush fires, but no one shows that the entire forest is ablaze.
