A couple of weeks ago, Scarlet/Violet had a bugged event raid that was dropping Null items, so after a few hours they CANCELLED that weekend's raid and they still haven't brought them back. Previously there had been a special raid event every weekend, starting a week after launch. They had a similar thing going with Sword/Shield, though at a slower pace.

There's a lot of stuff I love about these new games but they do feel held together with elmer's glue and wishful thinking at times

Using shortwave signals, the antennas become bigger but these signals will be bent (refracted) by the ionosphere layers and then return to earth. This can happen several times. There is loss with each bounce (like a dirty mirror) but enough signal for very comfortable chatting to the other side of the planet *sometimes:* it's greatly affected by the sun. heading out soon to help with today’s setup of tomorrow’s yearly local (Rochester Amateur Radio Association, aka “RaRa”) ‘hamfest’… (admission tickets) + (raffle proceeds) + (vendor space rentals) go towards the club’s operations for the next year, and folks have fun in the summer sunshine. I (WA2RRB) usually do raffle stuff there.
