I'm somewhere between 50 and 75% through Spirit Hunter NG. It was slower to get started than the first one but over-all, better written. Puzzle quality varies, but is mostly better. The locations have been designed to be much more compact than in Death Mark. There used to be a lot of tromping back and forth through very similar rooms that were just taking up space

New blog post at http://www.theborednet.net about how µField Day has been growing, plus details of our August 27th event.
I'm looking at a lot of alternate sites, since it's become so much larger than I ever imagined it might. But if people need an excuse to take their radios out of the house and play portable, I'm only too happy to keep giving them one. 👍

Another #µFieldDay in the books...what a beautiful day for some #portablehamradio. About 30 people came by, with 9 HF stations set up. As always, some cool antennas ideas, from N6QDI's surprisingly effective magmount on his car to NS6X's complicated but gorgeous Buddihex.
@kb9ens made the long trip from Gardena to see what µFD was all about-great having you, and I hope I can make the same trip the other way soon.
As always, more info and updates at www.theborednet.net

Re last rt: A minor quibble. An individual certainly can make a programming language -- I encourage everyone to try, it's not that hard! -- but it'll be small. Any one-person program is usually going to be fairly small. That's ok! Big things have to start small, and small things are also valuable in themselves.
But yes also hero worship in general is a bad idea. Besides "who did most of the actual work" (other people) there's also the question of "where did the ideas come from" (also other people). To a first approximation nothing gets big via one pair of hands or one brain.
