Literally any time somebody asserts that a persecuted group is actually only persecuted because they bring it on themselves, that person is a bigot and an asshole.

And in an example of how sometimes, "both sides" can be the problem, this story about Burning Man climate change protesters caught my eye:
One on hand, the protesters are right: While Burning Man may be an interesting cultural experience, it's bad for the environment.
On the other hand, if you're a climate-change protester traveling to Nevada from New York, Washington, California and Malta, you're part of the problem, not the solution, IMO.

You know, internal emotional states that we experience as continually rising or falling (more likely) but that in reality are probably just the same set of emotional "notes" getting sloshed around our noggins (not to get too technical). :thonking:
