So we are going use an aircraft carrier to support Israel, one of the most powerful nations on earth, bomb Hamas and civilians in Gaza.

Fuck Hamas, I hope they die, but I don’t think we are going to win the hearts and minds of the people of Gaza if we kill a shitload of their children.

We do this all while we don’t do shit for the SDF against Turkey, the Armenians being genocided by Azerbaijan, or more forcefully helping Ukraine.

SVG-PCB

This open-source in-browser editor lets you design Printed Circuit Boards (PCB) from a code description. The result is a svg file suitable for most PCB prototyping solutions.

Describing the board as code clearly shows you the relation between components and wires. It also lets you generate more complex circuits based on a set of rules (e.g. for creating an array or enable optional components).

my main takeaway from the new libcurl cve is "async/await and yield syntax is great"

the equivalent behaviour in a language with builtin async/await would have been a local boolean suddenly changing from true to false without it being modified -- a really evil and hard to debug compiler bug

Had that been autopay, and it had gone through, I would've had a lot of trouble. Sure, I'd probably get it corrected eventually. But while a mistake like that would cause me a lot of harm, the company would feel nothing and be in no hurry to correct it.

Maybe it's less likely these days, but I know we write shit software, create inhuman bureaucracies, and the company has all the power. I'm just not enthusiastic to give them free reign on my checking account... :/

I am frustrated with the way various service companies are pushing to get their hands on my checking account with autopay. They're increasingly offering discounts to do so.

I understand why they're doing it, but the power imbalance bothers me. It was a long time ago, but it is fresh in my mind, I had a natural gas company try to bill me for over $3,000 worth of gas one month. They had absolutely nothing in their system to flag a ridiculous bill like that.
