Do you ever look at the heap of tooling you're forced to work with and wonder what problem it could possibly solve that would actually cost *more* time and productivity than trying to get each part of this loosely cobbled Frankenstein of disparate technologies to play nicely together already costs every day?

Using HTML web components (esp with tools like @astro) has been a deeply refreshing and encouraging method of building interactive UI. I think it really has the potential to change how we build the web.
