Web Platform Baseline, recently re-announced by Google Chrome, does not consider browser support for #accessibility features built into the web platform.

Accessibility is a fundamental requirement for devs (legal compliance, contracts). Yet Web Platform Baseline does not actually cover baseline support.

WW1-level insanity to waste your people like that, repeatedly. trying is one thing, and beating yourself to death is another thing entirely... a special kind of stoopid.

A blessed and peaceful #JohnMastodonMas to all who celebrate.

John Mastodon taught me to juggle live owlets using antigravity emitted from the palms of my hands as the owl parents watched approvingly. Said owlets then became masters of flight with nary a tumble from the nest or branch. Now there are generations of juggled owls working in secret to achieve space flight and spread their skill to space owls. This is the man, the myth, the #Mastodon.

We got our first smart TV a few weeks ago, and honestly...they actually kinda suck. I had no idea.

I really didn't expect all the ads, the tracking, the locking down of control, the terrible UI, the inability to turn off certain features...just the general way almost everything about it, except for consolidating remotes, is categorically worse than just having a dumb TV with a player hooked up to it.

I wanted to explain fractions to Zoe visually, but all relevant apps targeted older kids and were too complicated for my needs.

Took 15 mins to scratch my itch and prototype this in @CodePen: https://codepen.io/leaverou/pen/yLZdVMZ

Memorable URL / more robust layout version here: https://zoelearns.com/fractions/

The web devs among you may like how the visualization is entirely drawn in #CSS (JS is only used to set CSS variables for numerator/denominator), and that it's using the new form-sizing property :)
