Ever notice how Tesla's logo looks like an IUD? What a bad association. One is the best way to ensure you never procreate, and the other is an IUD.

Do you ever wonder if we’re entering a golden age of blogging? And if so, that maybe it’s due in no small part to the rise of generative AI? I do. A lot.

Similar to how MP3s brought back vinyl, AI prose exemplifies what the digital written word was missing— warmth.

Niklaus Wirth, the inventor of the Pascal programming language, author of "Algorithms + Data Structures = Programs", and more, passed away on January 1.

Wirth's law, named after him, is an adage which states that software gets slower more rapidly than hardware gets faster.

@rick_viscomi The nominal point of React was better experiences, which aren't materialising for users.

The nominal point of Next was to fix React. It's not working.

Your best bet is to avoid at all costs.

Notes:
- The button sequence varies by device model, but most recent iPhones use the one described
- I don’t think it's possible to do a restore in Finder without it erasing the device first, I used iMazing which is more flexible (https://imazing.com not a sponsored post, I just like it)
- You may need to enter your passcode twice after the restore, at which point the device will show an "attempting data recovery" screen for several minutes (make sure you enter the correct passcode!)

- Plug iPhone into Mac
- Press volume up, then volume down, then press and hold the side button until the recovery mode screen shows up
- Use iMazing (preferred) or Finder to restore the IPSW (in Finder, hold down Option when clicking the restore button to select the IPSW)
- Your iPhone should be successfully restored without any data loss (see reply!)

I've already said this, but I'll repeat here:

The feds need to keep this simple.

If a woman dies because an emergency room doctor declines to perform a necessary procedure the doctor and administrators of the hospital should be charged with felony murder ( 18 U.S.C. 1111).
