finished my usual Saturday AM volunteer gig walking doggos at the #ROC City Pound. most of the critters there look vaguely pit-bullish, but there was actually a shepherd today... and some really strong leash-pullers..

Thinking about a #Meta pivot to infrastructure, and the subtle physiological effects it would have on our social media behavior.

The average user might keep their #Threads account, but signup for other platforms in the #Metaverse as “sub-identities.”

For example— Taylor Swift launches a super fans platform. Would the average Swiftie migrate to the Meta-interoperable space? Or would they make a new account, one that perhaps better represents their fandom identity?

Spoiler: It's not as straightforward as some pundits would have you believe.

(Before you tell me I'm wrong, wait until I finish writing my explainer :)

Adding: I mean, you can go ahead and tell me I'm wrong now. But I won't have an answer yet.

Wondering if there are pockets of legacy IP resources sitting out there like mine were? These things are hard to dispose of, but perhaps some oldtimers would give them to Public Resource, claim the tax deduction, and then we'll use your $$ to buy all standards with the force of law and open source them. Bonus point: this is all legal, I got the papers to prove it.

Sold the last of my legacy Internet addresses. Two /23, one /24, 6 ASNs. Raised $81k. Could have made them a me thing, but transferred them to Public Resource first so they could do good things.

Do you have legacy addresses but don’t want the hassle of selling them? Give them to Public Resource, I’ll sell them, you’ll get a tax donation for your in-kind contribution (the bill of sale sufficient proof for the IRS for you to claim them, I’ll handle all the registry formalities).
