In my post, I mention two words that I feel have important definitions— #GreenSpaces and #SocialWeb.

I'm still learning what those terms mean as defined by @hrheingold and I kinda want to evangelize them? I don't know what that means yet, but the urge is there.

Anyway, I wrote about why it feels like all the cool websites have disappeared. The good news is, there's a whole other web outside #Threads and #Instagram. And it's really cool.

They didn’t want anything thoughtful, anything with words and ideas, or critical thinking. I do hope they come back. I’m still here. And right there is one of the largest statistical problems facing the #Fediverse

Without a clear-cut, complete description of its methodology FediDB is at best noise when it comes to numbers

I use it extensively to research instance names and what distro they use, but MAU and Total Users are suspect at best

I've always suspected that Total Users are simply "accounts created" but so what?

That would be meaningless if they're dormant placeholders

I've had the first iPad, but it was quickly replaced by one half its size and weight, and it took >4 generations before it was fast enough.

I worry the $3.5K #VisionPro 1 is going to be same thick, heavy, underpowered, quickly-obsolete first-gen product.
