ANNOUNCE: #JS8 #AmateurRadio Learning Group Meeting tonight

----- snip -----
when: 9pm East Coast US time, Tuesday 23 JAN 2024
where: at the 20m JS8 meeting freq
(if 14.0780MHz is too busy
then we shall QSY to 14.107MHz)
what: @ROCDIGI group net

we have established a weekly net to explore the possibilities in JS8 with others, centered around but not limited to the Rochester NY area. feel free to join us no matter your location, it will be more fun with a good turnout to explore things like automated checkins and message relaying.

the idea is to establish a welcoming environment for people to get comfortable operating in this short-text-message mode, which works great with low power, with less-than-optimal antennas & sites, and over relatively long distances-per-watt.

looking fwd to working together

I like it, but holy shit I waste so much time just trying to make it shut the fuck up for literally zero actual benefit.
