Many tech companies have left the (apparent) exponential growth phase and are failing to see it, failing to adjust to the maintenance phase. My emotional posture has also changed, because I depend on the internet now in a way I didn't during the exciting growth phase.

Contemptible and arrogant, but that's Apple these days.

🎬 The App Store will continue to be the only place to install apps on the iPhone, even in the EU. Users should be aware that the App Store collects exhaustive usage data and sends it to #Apple. This can't be turned off. We made this video to show how tapping an app link gets recorded in details.

After tapping a link posted on X, we requested a copy of the Apple ID data and we found this: (76,779 records in 734 days 🤯)

Apple's attempt to knife PWAs in the EU will have worldwide implications if allowed to stand. Not knowing if Push Notifications will be available or data will be lost will drive developers back to native, pushishing investments in the web worldwide, even if the change is only "real" in the EU.

This is as bad as it sounds. If you want to fight back, join @owa in supplying information to regulators about what it will mean for users and developers:
