One thing I'm fuzzy on with #BlueSky's Public Data Servers (PDS) is why would anyone ever need to switch to a new PDS?

The selling point is— if you don't like your server, you can move your account. But PDSs have a greatly reduced role in #ATProto when compared to, say, #ActivityPub.

Nothing is handled on the PDS layer except storage and authentication. What could a server do to make someone unhappy enough to move?

How do you honestly "research" a religion and settle on Seventh-Day Adventism as the one true faith? I don't think this guy was using rational criteria.

I'd seriously love to see a study on how many still-open issues, feature requests, bug reports, and projects in progress were completely ignored by all the companies who rushed to implement AI as quickly as possible.

It's easy to spot the companies that listen to their investors more than they listen to their users; just look for the AI button.

Controversial statement I know, but there should never be a time where you judge people starving children to be "the good guys". It doesn't actually matter what race or nationality or religion or anything else any of the people involved are. People who kill children are not good people, regardless of the overall political or strategic situation.

Starving kids who can't pay for their school lunch? You're a bad person.

Starving kids who happen to live in a bad neighborhood or under a shitty government? You're a bad person.

Starving kids who live in a household that can't afford food? You're a bad person.

Starving kids who happen to live in a region where terrorists live? You're a bad person.

Whatever and whenever, kids should be fed.

A whole lotta these made the base for my spaghetti sauce. Blanching and peeling took a long time. The pot began cooking a few hours ago and I just added in the pressure cooked carrots, celery, onion, green pepper, fresh basil and garlic. Another hour at a low simmer and then puree time. I freeze 2 cups at a time in ziplock bags flat. That way I can thaw the right amount quickly. Happy time. #Tomatoes #Vegetables #Food
