Another day, another read through a whole-ass design system mired in *custom* "CSS-in-JS" tools that perform like crap. We will be digging out from the React community's lack of understanding about how browsers actually work for at least another decade, I fear.

My mother is in need of a new computer (old hardware is failing), and she's a long term user of Windows. Given the way Microsoft is deploying Windows against people and coercing them, I'm having misgivings about getting her a Windows 11 machine. It's like you have to be perpetually on guard whether your online or whether your just using your computer.

There's a couple of Windows only programs she uses, so Linux isn't a simple replacement. :(

So tired of this industry.

Hey resident #openscad experts!

I'm looking for a way to deform 3d shapes. In this particular case I have a rounded cuboid, that I want to bend upwards at a certain angle and position.

Is there any (more or less generic) way to achieve this with OpenSCAD (and maybe BOSL2)?

@futurebird Like... I saw Cory Doctorow speak at an ALA conference way back when and one of the things he said really stuck with me. He was talking to a group of librarians who he knew would agree with him some, but not entirely. And he said that he wasn't really trying to convince them that his way (about privacy iirc) was correct, but just that his direction, generally, was the right direction. I think about that a lot when I'm trying to figure out why I do what I do (and how to do it).
