My mother is in need of a new computer (old hardware is failing), and she's a long term user of Windows. Given the way Microsoft is deploying Windows against people and coercing them, I'm having misgivings about getting her a Windows 11 machine. It's like you have to be perpetually on guard whether your online or whether your just using your computer.

There's a couple of Windows only programs she uses, so Linux isn't a simple replacement. :(

So tired of this industry.
