Today's activity has propelled #3 to the #1 spot, so thank you for that! Can I re-run the wrapstodong?

It's nice that they're improving. But I'm not going to recommend any of this to developers until *the data* comes back green.
And that isn't about a stovepiped "isn't our thing slightly better than it was last year?!" comparison, it's a "does this work well for teams in general?" sort of view.
And there's a decade of busted sites and broken promises trailing behind React and Vercel that mean the only acceptable form of that data is from a third party.

Yes, we *all* have a long way to go, and yes, we need to celebrate progress. But that doesn't mean we have to pretend that picking Vercel's products aren't a business-limiting thing to do.

Interesting to see folks from Vercel reacting to my post[1] with "I don't think there's anything I could say that would make them change their mind about Next.js 🤷",* when the specific thing I highlight that should *absolutely* change minds is comparative data*.

- A chart I derived from the 2024 Web Almanac data showing CWV pass rates before and after the INP rollout. In general, tools with lighter default payloads (Astro, Rails) started better and (importantly) were less likely to regress as a result of INP's introduction. Or put another way, React-burdened stacks (Next.js, Next.js w/ App Router, and Gatsby) started with less than 50% pass rates and regressed the most when fairer, more representative metrics were added. - Google search for "can rats eat single mode fiber". Featured snippet reads: Rodents can have a little optical fiber, and most will go crazy to get their paws on the delicious smelling polyethelyne jackets. However, it should be kept as an occasional treat only, as too much could cause weight gain. Your rat should be just fine with a couple of cores of single-mode fiber as a treat. (remote)
Safari "Web Apps" broke middle-click.
I use "Save to Dock" to create app-like web views for some heavily-used sites. It's great. But as of a week ago or so, Cmd-click now opens in the current window instead of in a new window. This is intolerable. Is there any way to fix it?
It's definitely a problem with the web-app view itself, not with the underlying web site's JS.
