Kollektivet: "Hit Song" (to save the world) (music video)
I had to come back to this. There is so much that is brilliant about it. First of all, it's a parody of hit music, but it is itself catchy, with top notch video and music production. It has been 12 years and it is *still* a legitimate banger.
Both guys are Norwegian, but Jacob, the blonde guy, pulls off a Swedish English accent so perfect that you can pinpoint it exactly to the island of Lidingö, Stockholm.
It's a parody of Swedish House Mafia's "Save the World", and the fictional band in the video is the "Scandinavian Techno Dance Society".
There is more to say, the music jokes, the genre jokes, but ... just enjoy it.

The 2024 report aims in particular at people not familiar with the project or software. To achieve this the report tries to explain the rationale behind the work we did, introduces the major Medley subsystems, and links to further resources.
What do you think of the report? Would you like to contribute to the project? We look forward to your feedback.

BambuLab basically locks down their entire 3D printer ecosystem with this ridiculous cloud authorization system.
You want to print locally via your LAN? Sorry, the cloud needs to authorize your g-code first.
Want to use another slicer to send your job to the printer? Sorry, no.
Would it really still surprise anyone if DRM'd filaments are next on their agenda? Their printers are good, their prices are cheap, but please, stop supporting this company.

I'm sitting in a corner with a poor Wi-Fi reception. I must hold my laptop like the Lion King to get faster downloads.
@Muddobbers @dangillmor I think it's simpler that that. It's not the owners behind this, it's the writers. The journalists do not get fellated and lionized here the way they do on the corporate social media sites. They do not get the immediate elevated status they have come to believe they deserve, just for publishing listicle round-ups of "here's what people are saying on twitter" and calling that writing. Here, they're just punters. So this does not exist.
It's just ego.

The evils of the boss/worker relationship aren't just wealth, it's the ability of the boss to take from the worker. Maybe they make you dress up however they prefer, maybe they make you perform humiliating begging rituals to get time off to care for your kids, maybe they make you scared to speak up when you know something is unsafe or morally wrong, maybe they make you work under constant surveillance, maybe they make you do things you're pretty sure are illegal.
It's not wealth, it's hierarchy.
